MANSFIELD: Ashley Elizabeth Glaze, 16, of Mansfield passed away January 30, 2015 at home.Ashley was born May 3, 1998 in Mansfield to Greg and Amy Evans Glaze. Ashley was a proud member of the Lexington Band of Gold, and Color Guard, at Lexington High School. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Mansfield where she participated in many church youth activities. She was involved with Relay for Life, Kids and Kamp, and recently Camp Quality. Ashley enjoyed the outdoors, swimming, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, and had been involved in many athletic activities. While hunting, Ashley got her first deer at the age of ten, which was a moment that made her extremely proud. Ashley enjoyed shopping, playing board games and spending time with her sisters and family. Ashley was a fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers and Ohio State football and attended her first Steelers game this past November. Ashley was truly an inspiration to her friends, family, and nearly everyone that would meet her. Her zest for life, engaging smile, her sassy sense of humor, and compassion for others and her pets, were admired and enjoyed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her parents, Greg Glaze of Washington, PA, and Amy Glaze of Mansfield; sisters, Taylor and Kyleigh Glaze; grandparents, Mike and Katie Glaze of Lexington, Bruce and Esther Evans of Mansfield; aunts and uncle, Jamie and Michelle Glaze of Lexington, Ron (Amanda) Evans of Mansfield; special cousin, Jacob Evans; and several other relatives.She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents and an aunt, Jessica Glaze.Friends may call at Herlihy-Chambers Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West, on Tuesday from 2-7pm. A funeral service will be celebrated 11:00am Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1592 Grace Street, with Pastor Bob Stull officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
