Mrs. Marilyn Chase Tasker Carr, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 29, 2015. She was a native of Hampden, ME and graduated from Progressive Business College in Bangor, ME.
While in Bangor, she worked as a Secretary at N.H. Bragg Company, then relocated to Southington, CT, where she was a Vice President of Citizen's National Bank. After retirement, she and her late husband, Lawrence Tasker moved to Jacksonville, FL.
Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, John C. Chase, Sr. and Grace Chase; her niece, Linda Sanford Foss and her nephews, John C. Chase V and Christopher Chase; her husbands, Lawrence I. Tasker (married just shy of 50 years) and M.C. Carr. She is survived by 2 sisters: Marie Chase Sanford and Barbara Chase Henry; 1 brother: John C. Chase, IV; 3 nieces: Judy Hutzler, Grace Chase and Elizabeth Chase; 2 nephews: David Chase and Daniel Chase; several great nieces and great nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Peeples Family Funeral Homes, North Jacksonville Chapel, 2220 Soutel Drive near Lem Turner Road, with Rev. Chris A. Coram, officiating. A committal service will follow at 1:00 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
