DONALDSON-Judge Dorothea E. Age 91, of Winter Park, FL. On February 12, 2003. Notable woman jurist, Judge Donaldson served in New York State government as Supervising Referee of Workman's Compensation Board, Chairman of the Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board and was appointed in 1963 by Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller to the Court of Claims as its first woman jurist, for a total service of 30 years. She held degrees from Hunter College, Teachers College of Columbia University and St. John's University, where she served on the Board of Trustess for 18 years. In Florida, she served as an arbitrator and mediator until 1995. Survived by niece Dorothea A. Donaldson of Southampton, NY, and several cousins in Florida and Oregon.
