TROY Janet Randall Greenwood, 83, of Lansingburgh died peacefully on October 28, 2004 at the Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Harry Randall and Laura Every Randall and was predeceased by her brothers, Gerald (Jerry) Randall and Robert Randall. Janet was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School, class of 1939 and was an executive administrative assistant at Albany Steel for 30 years retiring in 1988. She shared her kindness and generosity with many charitable organizations and civic groups. Janet enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and her summer home on Burden Lake. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Beth Randall of Troy; nephews, Mark Randall of Burden Lake, David Randall of Troy and Geoffrey Trimble of Loudonville and her niece, Linda Cowper of Poestenkill. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Gardner Earl Crematorium located in the Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.
