The Evening Star - Peekskill, New York Monday, September 26, 1977 Edition JOSEPH CROPLEY - Retired Longshoreman Joseph Cropley, a former resident of Crompond Road, died yesterday at the Marra Nursing Home at the age of 84. Mr. Cropley was born in New York City on Nov. 7, 1893, the son of the late Ernest and Ellen Sullivan Cropley Mr. Cropley was employed as a longshoreman working for many years loading and unloading ships on the Brooklyn waterfront. He retired in 1959. The deceased is survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Interment will be at St. Charles Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Edward F. Carter Inc. Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, today and Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
