Joseph S. Gordon, a well known farmer, died at his home in Franklin township, Sunday, May 9, aged 62 years, after an illness of several months from a complication of diseases. Mr. Gordon was a son of James S. and Delilah Braden Gordon, deceased, of near West Alexander, Pa. He was united in marriage with Miss Matilda Ammons, of Franklin township, and they resided near the county home. Mr. Gordon was a member of the Coallick M.P. church. Beside his wife he leaves three children, Martha, Delilah and Joseph, Jr., all at home, and the following brothers and sisters: Brice, William, George, Clarence and Grover Gordon, Mrs. Ella Cunningham, Mrs. Elizabeth Knox, all of West Alexander; Misses Lottie and Nettie Gordon, at home.
