He married Lucinda (Melton) Gourley Nov. 1, 1863 in Brown Co. Lucinda was born about 1832 in Indiana, an early resident of Jefferson Co. She died in Brown Co. in the 1880s. Albert had siblings Charles, Rosa and Edward Routier; and older half-brothers Albert, Jesse, James and Robert Gourley, sons of Lucinda and her first husband, Robert Gourley.
