Stanley R. Brewer, 82, of 1070 9th Street, Waynesburg, died at 8:45 a.m., Sunday, April 25, 1982, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. He had been ill for one week.

He was born February 10, 1900, in Monongalia County, W. Va., a son of Sanford A. and Minnie Hackney Brewer.

He had resided in Waynesburg for the past 53 years.

Mr. Brewer was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Men's Bible Class of the church and also served on its administrative board.

He was employed as an engineer for the Carnegie Natural Gas Co. prior to retiring in 1965 after 41 year of service.

Surviving are his wife, Blanche McDonald Brewer, whom he married March 28, 1921; one daughter, Mrs. Dolores B. McCurdy of Largo, Fla.; one son, William S. Brewer of Treasure Island, Fla.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. May Everly and Mrs. Lucille Swain, both of Morgantown, W. Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Morris G. Brewer, is deceased.
