Norita Ann Gifford, 76, Peshtigo, died Feb. 10, 2015.Born Dec. 8, 1938, daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Reitz) Seipel,
She married Ronald Gifford Oct. 31, 1957.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she loved her church, Good Shepherd Lutheran, and was very devoted to her Lord and Savior. She was a singing member of the West Shore Chorale for many years, enjoyed flower gardening, especially tulips, hydrangeas and day lilies. She also enjoyed knitting, making several pairs of mittens for her family and many others.
Norita is survived by her husband, Ronald;
her seven children: Stephen (Annette) Gifford, Greenleaf, Wis.; Julie (George) Wagner, Peshtigo, WI; Charles (Teresa) Gifford, Anaktuvuk Pass, Alaska; Daniel Gifford, Oak Park, Il;.; Kate (Kenneth) Anderson, Menominee, Mich.; Polly (Robert) Whitehouse, Oak Park, Ill.; Wally (Tammy) Gifford, Hastings, Minn.;
three brothers: William, John (Joan) and Donald Seipel;
a sister Esther (Mrs. Donald) Schrader;
a sister-in-law Gloria (Mrs. Norbert) Seipel;
17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
a twin brother Norbert;
a sister-in-law Vernetta Seipel;
a brother-in-law Donald Schrader;
and a grandson, Joshua Magnin.
Norita loved and adored her dog Tedy who died with her.
Family will receive friends at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peshtigo on Monday, Feb. 16, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Pastor David Murphy will be officiating and burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
