Richard James Polkinghorn was the son of Edward Polkinghorn and Eliza Middleton Bond, per his Funeral Record.

He is buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery section of the large cemetery at the top of Kidder Avenue. The entire cemetery grounds at the top of Kidder Avenue is actually divided into 7 different sections.

Thus, the two cemeteries, Odd Fellows and Masonic, are actually two separate cemeteries within this large cemetery grounds, as they were owned by two separate fraternal orders.

The 7 individual cemeteries included in the entire grounds are:

Old Grass Valley City Cemetery

Masonic Cemetery (aka Grass Valley Masonic Cemetery)

Odd Fellows Cemetery (aka Grass Valley I.O.O.F Cemetery)

Foresters Cemetery

Redmans Cemetery

Old Elm Ridge Cemetery (aka Elm Ridge Cemetery on old records, as there was no need for the designation "Old" before New Elm Ridge came into being)

New Elm Ridge Cemetery (aka Elm Ridge Lawn)

This information is provided in order to lighten your footwork if you are looking for a gravesite. It should not be necessary to search the entire grounds, if you have knowledge of the specific section in which someone was interred.
