ELKADER, Ia. - John Merle Shaw, 22, of Elkader was killed Friday afternoon in a logging accident at the Sawyer Tie Co. in Mona, Iowa where he was employed.
Services will be at 11 am. Monday at the Peace United Church of Christ, here will burial in East Side Cemetery here. Friends may call after 10 am. Sunday at the Witt Funeral Home here.
Surviving are his wife Debra; a daughter Julia Renee at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Shaw Sr. of Elkader; five brothers, William of Monona, James Robert, Paul and Merle, all of Elkader; three sisters, Mrs. Ronnie (Jean) Knutson of Elkader, and Susan of New Vienna, Iowa and Mrs. Robert (Judy) Burlingame of Elkader, Mrs. Clarence Lietha, of Buffalo City, Wis.
