MARGARET MUENCH
99TH ANNIVERSARY – Mrs. Margaret Muench, Rt. 1, Whitelaw, who was born Jan. 31, 1863, is observing her 99th birthday anniversary this Wednesday.
She made her home with her grandson, George Muench Jr., and pictured with their great grandmother are two of his children, Cynthia, 4, and David, 3. They are looking at some pictures taken many years ago, and Mrs. Muench is telling the children about the pictures.
Mrs. Muench was born at Kellnersville. She was married to Joseph Muench in 1885 and he died in 1934. She has two sons, George, on the farm at Kellnersville, and Louis of Chicago. She also has five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Mrs. Muench has been confined to a wheelchair since she broke her hip more than a year ago. However she is alert and interested in the children and current events. Except for the broken, she has always enjoyed good health.

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Muench, 99, a life-long resident of Kellnersville who died Monday afternoon at her home were at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Kalisek officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Frank Muench, Nick Schiesl, Frank Feit, Frank Milbauer Sr., Frank Skarda Sr. and John M. Remiker.
