Professional Football Player. For seven seasons (1958 to 1964), he played at the tackle position in the National and American Football Leagues with the Chicago Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns and New York Jets. Born James Brian McCusker, he attended Jamestown High School where he made his initial impact on the gridiron. He continued his athletics at the University of Pittsburgh and became one of the greatest linemen in Panthers' history. Selected by the Cardinals during the 2nd round of the 1958 NFL Draft, he totaled 83 career regular season NFL and AFL games. He experienced a world championship as a member of the 1960 NFL Title-winning Philadelphia Eagles' squad. Following his football career, McCusker was the proprietor of a restaurant in his native Jamestown, New York.
