Mrs. Mildred E. Tharp, 50, wife of Abner E. Tharp and a lifelong resident of Greene County, died at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 1958, in Greene County Memorial Hospital.

She had been in poor health for some time but her illness had been critical the past week. Death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage.

A daughter of the late William Tustin and Dora McClelland Tustin, she was born February 4, 1907 and spent most of her life in the Waynesburg area. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

She was married March 4, 1931 to Abner E. Tharp, who survives with three daughters, Mrs. Robert Carroll of Monessen, Martha and Sara Tharp, at home, and two sons, Robert and Raymond, at home. She also leaves one grandchild and a brother, J. F. Tustin of Akron, O. Three children and one brother are dead.
