This little girl was the daughter of Christian Gruber & Katherine Christina Margadaunt. Her father Christian had immigrated to America earlier to find work. When he sent for her mother, her sister Anna Gruber, and her, they sailed later. She died during the trip on the Atlantic Ocean and was buried at sea. Her mother bore another little girl about 1865 and named her Margaret in memory of this little girl who was lost at sea. This Margaret also died very young.
