Arve M. Mortrude, 90, a resident of Whittier since 1942, died January 12, 2004, of natural causes.
He is survived by 3 daughters; Jana, Susan and Beth; a sister, Dorothy; 6 grandchildren; Stephen, Kirsten, Robin, Christina, Jill and Victor; and one great grandson, Jonah.
Arve was married to Ruth Saugstad Mortrude for 64 years before her death in November of 2000. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
