Bessie worked for the United States Government as a secretary, and also worked as a seamstress. She enjoyed gardening flowers and was awarded several ribbons for entries into the gardening contests that were held at the Prince William County Fair.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Blasius Baker Funeral Home, 9320 West Street, Manassas, where funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. in the Blasius Baker Chapel.
