Her husband served in the 51st Illinois Infantry in the Civil War and following his death, she received an Army Widows Pension beginning on Nov 15, 1888.
After the Civil War, her husband was a Policeman for the City of Chicago.
When she died on Dec 7, 1898, her death certificate stated she was 75 years old, born in 1823 in England. She was residing at 818 Turner Ave, Chicago, when she died, and she was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery on Dec 8, 1898.
