Lorraine C. Jansky, age 92, a resident of Harmony of Two Rivers, 4606 Mishicot Rd., died peacefully Wednesday afternoon, January 7, 2015, at Harmony of Two Rivers, with her family at her side.
Lorraine was born September 2, 1922, in Two Rivers, a daughter of the late Albert and Amanda (Lesperance) Ciha, and attended Two Rivers Public Schools. After 28 years, Lorraine retired from the Paragon Electric Co. in Two Rivers. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend to many, and was always willing to help others. Lorraine enjoyed watching high school basketball, and was an avid basketball & Packer fan. She loved to read, she loved birds, and was a great cook & baker. Lorraine was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, and the Ladies Society of the church.
Survivors include her two sons & a daughter-in-law: Doug and Sue Jansky of Two Rivers and Sheldon "Coco" Jansky of Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Peggy and David Begotka of Whitehall, WI; four grandchildren: Scott (Melissa) Jansky, Kelly Reeder, Cory (Erin) Jansky, and Jennifer Jansky; and six great grandchildren: Madison, Logan, Sawyer, Cutler, Hailey, Reece, and Bella. She is further survived by two sisters: Shirley Benninghaus of Florida and Eunice Jansky of Two Rivers; one brother: Albert (Theresa) Ciha, Jr. of Manitowoc, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Pauly Ciha; and one sister & three brothers-in-law: Priscilla (Ray) Becker, Vernon Jansky, and Wayne Benninghaus.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with entombment to follow at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy 310, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church Tuesday morning after 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
