Mrs. Christine M. Smith, 69, of 2008 E Main St, died on Saturday, March 1, 1975 at Holy Cross Hospital.

The former Christine Fehr was born on October 5, 1905 in Irma the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Fehr. On October 11, 1924 she married Theodore W. Smith in Merrill. He died on April 7, 1961 in Merrill. She was a member of St. Stephen's United Church of Christ.

Mrs. Smith is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Franklin (Evelyn) Evenson of El Monte, CA; a son Eugene of Tyler TX; three brothers, Peter Fehr, Paul Fehr of Merrill and John Fehr of Gleason; a sister Mrs. Ursala Schaupp of Merrill; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 5, 1975 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Merrill. The Rev. Dale G. Kuck and the Rev. Jonathan Knecht officiated. Burial was in Merrill Memorial Park.

The Taylor Funeral Home of Merrill was in charge of the arrangements.
