Bero, Lillian M.

Lillian M. Bero, age 89, a resident of Two Rivers, died early Thursday morning, March 5, 2015, at Shading Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

Lillian was born on November 14, 1925, in Manitowoc, a daughter of the late Adolph and Viola (VanBramer) Haese. She attended Manitowoc Public Schools, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1944. On May 4, 1946, she married Richard W. Bero at Bethany Evang. Lutheran Church in Manitowoc, he preceded her in death on February 16, 2011. Lillian and Richard owned and operated Bero's Beer Depot in Two Rivers for many years. Lil was also a telephone operator, worked at Mirro Aluminum Co. and retired from Dow Canvas. She enjoyed time spent at the cottage in Phelps, Wis., and playing cards.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Al Troullier of Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law: Bill and Kay Bero of Two Rivers; five grandchildren: Tanya (Mark) Genke, Brett Bero, Tiffany (Aaron) Rogers, Bridget (Dan) Ott and Brooke (Greg) Steinbrenner; and four great grandchildren: Carter, Mason, Summer and Amelia. She is further survived by a sister and brother-in-law: Caroline and Ralph Feyerson; and a sister-in-law: Arline Haese, all of Manitowoc; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a great grandson: Chad Troullier and two brothers; John and Ronald Haese.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 17th & East Park Sts., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Arndt with entombment in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy 310, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 Noon. There will be no Friday evening visitation.

The Bero family extends a special thank you to Laurel Grove and Shady Lane for the wonderful care they've given our mom over the years, she was treated like family and she loved you all!
