Liebert "Lee" A. Chizek, age 77, died on March 8, 2015 at St. Mary's Home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Lee was born on November 25, 1937 in Manitowoc, son of the late Anthony and Alvina (Stefaniak) Chizek. He attended Valley View School and Lincoln High School. On August 8, 1959 he married Patricia Terens at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Lee was co-owner of Kress and Chizek Ford Garage in Cleveland for 20 years, then worked at First Chrysler for 21 years being a mechanical technician and body shop manager. He enjoyed gardening and making polish sausage with his wife Pat. He also liked to go fishing with his family. Throughout his life, he enjoyed music. He played his pedal steel guitar so beautifully, it put shivers up your back. He played with various bands, The Country Nights for over 40 years being the last. His late son, Dale, sang and played with him for some time. Lee played for many fund-raisers, helping people raise money for their cause. He also loved motor homing and going to country shows with Al and Sandy. At the end, Lee turned to God with his whole heart and soul.

Survivors include Lee's wife of 55 years: Patricia; One daughter: Cindy and her husband Brian Wendt; Grandchildren: Tabby, Jamie, Adam, Tiffany, Tommy, and Ashley Chizek, and Molly Clare Hahn and Ryan Wendt; Great-grandchildren: Dakota and Landon Chizek and Peyton Dayja; one brother: Carmen Chizek; sisters and brothers-in-law: Diane and Emil Cisler, Nancy and Charlie Rezachek, Iris and Chuck Denor, John and Tracey Terens, Karen Porodish, Gloria Thompson, and Faye Terens. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Lee was preceded in death by his son Dale Chizek; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Arthur and Clara Terens; two brothers-in-law: Roger Terens and Dennis Porodish; sisters-in-law: Marcia Terens and Janice Chizek.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier. Following the service, entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015.
