Local Resident Dies in Hospital

Mrs. Effie May Clark, 54, wife of Thomas F. Clark of 905 S. 30th St., died Tuesday at 1:20 p.m. of a paralytic stroke in a local hospital.
She was born July 4, 1902, in Oklahoma, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hamilton, and came to Yellowstone county in 1915. She attended school in Billings.

She lived in Washington and Oregon before returning to Billings in 1933. She was married to Mr. Clark July 16, 1938, in Roundup.

Mrs. Clark was a member of the Salvation Army and Billings Eagles Auxiliary No. 176.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas; a son, Harold Agee of Rt. 1, Laurel; three stepsons, Clyde Clark of 619 S. 33rd St., Wilbur Clark of Rt. 4, Billings, and James Clark of 905 S. 30th St.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Irene Kern of 11 Charlene St. and Mrs. Margaret Wright of Springfield, Ore.

Three brothers, Robert Hamilton of Missoula, Harry Hamilton of Martinez, Calif., and James Hamilton of 3039 Orchard Lane; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Whitte of Vallejo, Calif., and Mrs. Rosella Frasco of 211 Burlington Ave.; a grandchild and 10 step-grandchildren.

The body is at Smith’s Funeral Home.
