Byford Burch, 90, of Bloomington, died Friday at Bloomington Hospitality House.

He was born Feb. 9, 1914, in Greene County, the son of Augdeon Burch and Nancy Nation.

He retired after 35 years with Weddle Brothers Construction Company in Bloomington. A WWII Air Force veteran, he was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge #22 in Bloomington.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth and Daniel L. May of Bloomington; two sisters, Eunice Figg of Stinesville and Betty June Skirvin of Indianapolis; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; one step-grandchild, ; and two step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth Helen (Troth) Burch in July, 1986; four sisters; three brothers; and a niece, Jane Bough.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Chandler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kathie Hart and Brother Shelby Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.

Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m
