Donald W. Duckart, age 70, of 1234 Fleetwood Drive, Manitowoc, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at home with his family.

Don was born on January 23, 1945 in Green Bay, son of the late John and Dorothy (Reimer) Duckart. On July 15, 1967 he married the former Nancy Miller at Wesley Methodist Church in Manitowoc. He was a graduate of ACME School of Engineering. Don was employed as a draftsman at Manitowoc Engineering Company for many years. He then worked in Appleton as a Cad Contractor for Valmet Paper Machinery and Voith Paper until his retirement in 2001. Don was an active member at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and was an usher. He was also a member of the Manitowoc Yacht Club. Don appreciated the simple things in life and lived it to the fullest. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Don enjoyed fishing, golfing and working in his yard. He was often recognized by his infectious laugh and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years: Nancy; one son and daughter-in-law: Timothy and Lisa Duckart and their children: Alyssa and Tyler, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Dana and James Kornely and their daughter: Caitlyn, Manitowoc; one brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Peggy Duckart, Grafton; two brothers-in-law: Duane Kluting, Grand Rapids, MI, Gregg (Annette) Miller, Baraboo, WI; and his step mother: Bea Duckart, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by a sister: Audrey Kluting; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Winford and Shirley Miller.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 until 10:45 a.m.

Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be Pastor Brian Staude with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Don's name.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, the Neuroscience Group at Neenah and Holy Family Hospice for their compassionate care and support given to Don and his family.
