Record Producer. Wilson, who began his musical career in the mid-1970s engineering recordings by soft-rock groups, had a producing career that stretched into the early 2000s. He began working on punk rock albums in the early 1980s while producing the Adolescents' self-titled debut album and would go on to produce and engineer albums for numerous artists, including Iggy Pop, Dead Kennedys, T.S.O.L., Bad Religion, The Joykiller, Social Distortion, The Vandals, Christian Death, Automatic 7, Face to Face and The Bouncing Souls. He produced The Offspring's first four albums, 'The Offspring' (1989), 'Baghdad' (1991), 'Ignition' (1992) and their multi-platinum selling 'Smash' (1994), which was the best-selling independent release of all time. In mainstream rock, he worked on albums by Ringo Starr, Barbra Streisand, Boz Scaggs, Seals and Crofts and Burton Cummings. He also worked on a Perry Como Christmas special for television and in the audio departments of TV shows 'The Joan Rivers Show', 'A Different World', 'Roseanne' and 'Grace Under Fire'. Wilson died of an undisclosed illness.
