Singer, Songwriter. Along with her husband and writing partner Tony Hatch, she co-penned numerous pop songs including "I Couldn't Live Without Your Love", which became a top ten hit for Petula Clark in 1966. Born Yvonne Burgess, her father was a coal miner, her family's infectious love for music was paramount in the shaping of Jackie's youth. She abandoned school at the age of fifteen and ventured to London. During this period, she gained performance experience, as she entertained British troops in addition to singing in London clubs. During the early 1960s, she landed a contract with the Oriole label and recorded her first single "Pick Up the Pieces" (1962). She met her future husband Tony Hatch (they married in 1967 and divorced in 2002) and the pair formed a successful songwriting partnership who penned more-than 400 songs. Jackie continued to record her own albums an scored a number one hit on the British Charts with "Where Are You Now (My Love)" (1965).
