HOWARD C. SCHULTZ Howard C. Schultz, age 90, of 5820 Pleasant View Lane, Two Rivers, went peacefully home to the Lord, with his family at his side, on Wednesday morning, June 23, 2010, at his residence. Howard was born on Feb. 3, 1920, in Two Rivers, son of the late Ralph and Lillian (Stoer) Schultz. He attended St. John's Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Two Rivers Washington High School. He served his machinist apprenticeship at Kahlenberg Bros. and was then employed as a machinist at Manitowoc Engineering Co. On Oct. 14, 1944, he married Pearl A. Schramm at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Creeks. She preceded him in death on Aug. 9, 2009. Together, the couple farmed in the town of Two Rivers until their retirement, and enjoyed 65 years of marriage. Howard was an active lifetime member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, where he served on the church council, was an usher, a member of the Men's Club and sang in the choir. He was a member of the Two Rivers Kiwanis Club and the Happy Hoppers Dance Club. Howard enjoyed volunteering his time and sometimes his tractor to Pinecrest Historical Village, the Washington House and St. John's Church and School. He enjoyed traveling on many bus trips with friends, playing cards, polka dancing, and gardening, especially his potatoes. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Charles Schultz, Snow Camp, N.C., Thomas and Karen Schultz, Two Rivers; two daughters and sons-in-law: Kathleen and Lewis Leatherwood, Centennial, Colo., Lisa and Norbert Michalski, Two Rivers. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren include: Nicholas Schultz, and his son, Alexander; Timothy and Terri Schultz, and sons, Christopher, Matthew and Benjamin; Sara Leatherwood; Shad Leatherwood, and his son, Easten; Peggy Krizek, and her son, Dominic; Matthew Michalski; Michael Michalski; and Shane Schultz. He is further survived by four sisters-in-law: Elaine Meek, Joyce Schramm, Bernice Zermuehlen and Jackie Benzinger; one brother-in-law: Glenn (Janice) Schramm; nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and good neighbors. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant brother and sister. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Arndt, with entombment to follow at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc. Friends may call at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, after 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, or the donor's choice.
