NORBERT G. SCHUH Norbert G. Schuh, age 78, of 405 S. Fifth St. in Reedsville, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, March 5, 2010, at home. He was born Jan. 15, 1932, in Brillion, son of the late George and Lauretta (Manlick) Schuh. Norbert married Carol Tisler on July 14, 1959, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kellnersville by the Rev. Richard Birdsall. Norbert served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1961 (two years active service and four years inactive service) on the USS Essex CVA-9. He worked as a mechanic in the area for many years and enjoyed shooting pool, playing sheepshead, traveling with Carol and being in the woods. Dad was a great Mr. Fix-it — just ask the grandkids. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion, Reedsville AMVETS Post 1032, Catholic Knights branch 83 and had been a past member of the Manitowoc County United Veterans Council. He also served on the Reedsville Village Board for many years. Norbert is survived by his wife, Carol; six children: Theresa, William "Bill" (Julie) and their children, Jason (Amanda) and their children Dakota and Abigail, Angela (fiance Craig) and Eric, Monica (Larry) Haelfrisch and their children Jessica (Bob) Wisniewski and their daughter Faith, Jake (fiancee Carly of Chicago) and Jordan, Ann Marie (Stan) Kulas and their children Stephanie (fiance Andrew), Melanie and Courtnie, Alan and his children Justin, Tyler and Joshua and Ritalyn, all of Reedsville. He is further survived by a brother: Edwin (Rose Marie) of De Pere; four sisters: Elizabeth (Ted) Giese of Brillion; Monica Dresang of Reedsville; Regina Fischer; and Helen (fiance Luke) Fischer, all of Brillion; four sisters-in-law: Pat Schuh; Anna Schuh; Dori (Jim) Behnke, all of Brillion; Diane Tisler of Mishicot; and a brother-in-law: Paul (Jan) Tisler of Reedsville. He was preceded in death by his parents; a special daughter-in-law: Sue Schuh; five brothers: Richard (Joyce), Anthony, Sebastian, George and an infant brother; one sister: Sister M. Clara Schuh; four brothers-in-law: Kenneth Tisler, Sr., Francis Dresang, Glenmore Fischer and Richard Fischer; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: William and Theresa Tisler. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Mathew Simonar will officiate. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc, with military rites to follow by Post 1032. Friends may call at Holy Family Catholic Church from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, and again at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
