Daughter of Thomas Howard Burras and Mary Elizabeth Hawkins, wife of James V. Schenck, whom she married on November 22, 1865 in New York City, NY, and mother of Maude Lloyd Schenck (married James F. Anyon), and Florence Gertrude Schenck (married John "Jack" Foley Jr.). Sister of Howard Kissam Burras, and Amelia Norton Burras (married Robert Dunlap).

Second wife of Jacob Edwin Longbothum, whom she married about 1891.

In 1850, Elizabeth W. Burras, shown aged 13, was living in New York City, NY, in the home of her parents, Thomas H. Burras, aged 40, and Mary E. Burras, aged 38, with siblings, Amelia N., aged 10, and Howard K. Burras, aged 3. Her father was shown to be a dentist. Also living in the household were Amelia Chidsey, aged 29, and Mary Monahan, aged 20.

Marriage - Schenck - Burras- By Rev. S.D. Burchard, at the residence of the bride's parents, on Wednesday evening, Nov. 22, James V. Schenck and Lizzie W., daughter of T.H. Burras, both of this city.

In 1900, Elizabeth W. Longbothum, aged 54, was shown living in the village of Patchogue, NY with husband, Jacob Longbothum, aged 69. Her husband, Jacob, was shown to be a General Machinist.

Elizabeth W. Schenck Longbothum, aged 67, married, of Manhattan, NY, daughter of Thomas H. Burras, and Mary Elizabeth Hawkins, died on December 8, 1904 in Manhattan, and was buried at Greenwood Cemetery in the Burras family plot on December 10, 1904.

Obituary - Mrs. Jacob Longbothum, one of the oldest and most respected residents of Patchogue, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Foley, Jr., in New York City, last Thursday evening.
