Mrs. Peter Kleman Sr., 86, of route 5, Manitowoc, died this morning on the homestead farm, now operated by her son, Peter Jr. She had been ill for some time.
The body will lie in state from 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pfeffer funeral home until Tuesday at 9 a.m. when it will be moved to the St. Ann’s church, Francis Creek, for services at 9:30. The Rev. Joseph Rauch will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
She was born Miss Sophia Lindau in 1859 in the county, and 65 years ago was married to Peter Kleman Sr. He died 25 years ago.
Survivors are three sons, Peter Jr., on the home farm, Nick of Branch, William of Rockwood, daughter, Mrs. Peter Wadzinske of route 2, Manitowoc; brother, Joseph; sister, Mrs. Barbara La Frania of Chippewa Falls; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Altar society of St. Ann’s Church whose members will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
