Peggy Lou Friley, 82, Carthage, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

Peggy Lou Bellomy was born January; 13, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio; a daughter of the late Glenn J. Bellomy and Esther M. (Wrotring) Bellomy.
She attended public schools in Columbus, Ohio and was a high school graduate in Columbus.
She married David M. Friley on September 9, 1948 in Las Vegas, Nevada; he preceded her in death on May 31, 2002.

Peggy enjoyed giving her time and talent to the Jasper School kindergarten class for several years by sewing Christmas stockings. The children referred to her as the “little old lady with a lot of fire”.

Survivors include four daughters; two brothers; 16 grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, 5 sisters and 4 brothers.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 2 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 3 in the Knell Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be in Park Cemetery, Carthage.
