Helen G. Bladow, age 94, of Chilton, died on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Century Ridge in Chilton. She was born June 10, 1920 in Clear Lake, WI, daughter of the late Perl J. & Clara H. (Scott) Olmstead.
Helen married Alvin G.W. Bladow on August 23, 1939 in Ladysmith, WI; he preceded her in death on August 26, 1987.
Helen was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton and devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her children: Roger A. (Carolyn) Bladow of Brillion, Alvin D. (Kathy) Bladow of Crown Point, IN; a son-in-law: Bob Mershon; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a brother: Walt (Ellen) Olmstead; and a sister: Mary LaMere. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Alvin; her daughter: Carol Mershon; a brother: George Olmstead; and her brother-in-law: Doug LaMere.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at St. Martin Lutheran Church (717 Memorial Dr.) in Chilton with the Rev. Jon Christensen officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am until 10:45 am on Wednesday, September 3, 2014.
