ALLAN DRAHEIM

Allan R. Draheim, age 86, of 3702 W. Marshall St., Manitowoc, died on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

He was born on April 10, 1924, in Eaton, son of the late Richard and Alfrieda (Gierke) Draheim. Allan was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II where he was in the occupation forces for 18 months in Japan. On June 28, 1950, he married the former Leona Behringer at St. John's Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Allan was employed at Rodewald Garage in Manitowoc and then with Weyerhaeuser Company until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Allan enjoyed gardening and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife: Leona L. Draheim, Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law: Todd R. and Susan Draheim, Manitowoc; one brother and three sisters-in-law: Harvey and Irma Draheim, Reedsville, Olive Draheim, Manitowoc, Anita Draheim, Reedsville; and a brother-in-law: Milton Behringer and his wife Rogene, Newton. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter: Betty; three brothers: Elroy, Elmer and Wilbur; and two sisters-in-law: Margaret Draheim and Carol Behringer.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Robert Kujawski and Rev. Stephen Melso with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010. Friends may also call Monday morning at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

The family wishes to express a thank you to Rev. Robert Kujawski, Rev. Stephen Melso, ladies aid, the nurses and Dr. Hiebert at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center for their compassionate care. A special thank you to Sue Vogt for her services and to Milton Behringer for all the visits during Allan's stay at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center.
