Leona L Draheim, age 90, of 1927 Markham Street, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, July 4, 2015 at the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
She was born on September 12, 1924 in the town of Newton, daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Hecker) Behringer. On June 28, 1950, Leona married Allan Draheim at St. John's Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2010. Leona was employed with the Mirro Aluminum Company for many years. She was also an Avon sales representative for the Newton area.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Todd and Susan Draheim, Manitowoc; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Harvey Draheim, Valders, Olive Draheim, Manitowoc, Anita Draheim, Reedsville, and Rogene Behringer, Manitowoc. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Leona was further preceded in death by an infant daughter: Betty; one brother: Milton Behringer and his first wife Carol; and three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Elroy Draheim, Elmer Draheim, Wilbur and Margaret Draheim, and Irma Draheim.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Robert Kujawski and the Rev. Stephen Melso with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, July 8, 2015 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and again from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning, July 9, 2015 at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
