Professional Football Player. For seven seasons (1977 to 1983), he played at the running back position in the National Football League with the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He attended South Side and played collegiate football at the University of Memphis. Selected by the St. Louis Cardinals during the 3rd round of the 1977 NFL Draft, he totaled 80 regular season games. While with the Packers in 1978, he reached the pinnacle of his career, when he topped the 1,000-yards rushing mark with 1,1116 yards and produced 11 touchdowns. He achieved Pro-Bowl honors that year. Following his football career, he served with the Memphis Fire Department.
