EDWARD FRANCIS ANDREW

Edward F. Andrew, 87, of 218 E. Randall Ct., Appleton, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, April 10.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Therese Catholic Church, Appleton. The Rev. Karl Buresh will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc, with graveside services at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Andrew was born Feb. 24, 1895, in Shawano County, Town of Maple Grove. He joined the Army at the age of 16 and served overseas for 18 months. Following his discharge, he enlisted in the United States Navy for four years. In 1922, he moved to Manitowoc where he married Evelyn Bouril in 1927. She preceded him in death in 1935. Mr. Andrew was employed by Manitowoc Shipyards and later was a cooper with A.M. Richter Company, retiring in 1960. In 1970, he moved to Appleton where he was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. He was a World War I Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Margareta, with whom he would have celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary April 15, 1982; a son, William F. Andrew of Winter Haven, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Gene (Rita) Johnson of Menomonee Falls, Wis., and Mrs. Donald (Elizabeth) Feltz of Mequon; a brother, Elmer of Hamilton, Ill.; nine grandchildren and a great grandson.

Friends may call at Wickmann Funeral Home, Appleton, from 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday evening and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of services. A prayer service will be 8 o'clock this Monday evening. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
