George J. Aretz, 76, of 909A Washington St., Manitowoc, died Monday morning of a coronary attack at his home.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Aretz was born at Cologne, Minn., Jan. 22, 1884, son of the late John and Mary Kugler Aretz. He married Rose Gehling at Cologne Oct. 22, 1912, and the couple resided at St. Paul, Minn., before coming to Manitowoc 18 years ago. Mr. Aretz retired nine years ago. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie and past secretary of Bartenders Local 60?,

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Eugene of Indianapolis, Ind., Douglas of Hartford, Conn., and Kenneth of Alhambra, Calif.; four brothers, Frank, Edward, Anthony and John of Cologne; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Spandle of Glenco, Minn., and Mrs. Marie Mihm of Superior, Wis., and five grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 o'clock this Tuesday evening.
