MRS. ARNDT DIES, AGE 60
Death comes At The Home of Her Sister In Kenosha
Mrs. Anna Arndt, 60 former resident of Newton and this city, died
Saturday night at the home of her sister, Mrs. Frank Tekamp, at Kenosha.
She had been making her home there for several months.
The body was brought to Manitowoc and funeral services will be Tuesday
at 9:30 a.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home and at
10 a.m. from the St. Boniface church. Interment will be at Calvary
cemetery.
The deceased, born Anna Wenderski in the town of Newton in 1874, she
was married there in 1889 to Ernst Arndt. They located on a farm in
the town. Mr. Arndt died 14 years ago and Mrs. Arndt moved to this
city to reside.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Charles Illg, Chicago, and Mrs. James
O'Malley, city; a son, Emil, city; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Tekamp,
Kenosha, Mrs. Rose Korbel, Greenwood, Wis., Mrs. Peter Bushman, Arpin,
Wis.; four brothers, Thomas, Kenosha, John, Detroit, Frank, Chicago and
William, Indianapolis.
The body may be viewed at the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home
until Tuesday mroning.
