Funeral services for Norbert F. Augustine, 45, of 1332 South 13th St., Manitowoc, who ended his life Tuesday morning by wading out into Lake Michigan at the foot
of Columbus Street, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Augustine was born in Manitowoc in 1908, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Augustine. A veteran of World War II, he served in U.S. armed forces, principally in the China
campaign, and was the recipient of the American campaign ribbon, Pacific ribbon, bronze star medal and good conduct ribbon. In recent years he was employed as a carpenter at the Burger Boat Company, Manitowoc.

Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Augustine of Manitowoc; four brothers, Clarence of Green Bay, Victor of Two Rivers and Ralph and Raymond of Manitowoc; nine sisters, Mrs. Robert Weber, Mrs. Kurt Kuehne, Mrs. Arnold
Krumrey, Mrs. Ervin Stock, Mrs. Jacob Horn and Mrs. Melvin Johnsrud of Manitowoc, Mrs. Clayton Becker of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. H.H. Buchholz of Waupun and Mrs. Steven Doperalski of Milwaukee.

Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of services.
