MICHAEL N. AUGUSTINE

Michael N. Augustine, age 84, a resident of the Manitowoc Health Care Center, died early Friday morning, August 4, 2000, at the center.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2000, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Finian Zaucha, O.F.M. will officiate. Michael's cremated remains will be buried at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

He was born February 18, 1916, in the township of Kossuth, Manitowoc County, son of the late John and Frances Pankratz Augustine. Michael grew up in the
township of Kossuth, and graduated from St. Anne's Catholic School, Francis Creek. He was married to Thelma A. Radey, March 30, 1940. She preceded him in death June 12, 1994. He lived in Manitowoc for 60 years. Michael was a truck driver with the Olson Transportation Company and the C.W. Transportation Company for 30 years, retiring in 1972. After his retirement, he volunteered driving for the American Red Cross especially the Meals on Wheels Program. He is a retired member of the Local #619 of the Teamsters & Chauffeurs Union.
Michael enjoyed playing his Trumpet and Accordion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Thelma; one son, Gregory; two grandsons, Shawn Augustine and Gary Kopatz; three sisters and six brothers.

Relatives and friends may call at St. Boniface Catholic Church on Monday, August 7, 2000, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
