RICHARD F. BAUER (d. 1981)

Richard F. Bauer, 84, of 1533 S. 35th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon, May 31, at Holy Family Hospital Extended Care Facility, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. James J. Stamborski will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Bauer was born April 12, 1897, at Newton, son of the late Ferdinand and Mary Roedig Bauer. He resided in Manitowoc County all his life. He attended St. Boniface Parochial School and Manitowoc Public Schools. He married Clara Kasten June 2, 1919, at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. She preceded him in death Aug. 5, 1945.

He then married Amanda June Feb. 19, 1949, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Prior to his retirement in 1962, he owned and operated his own farm in the Town of Newton. He was a charter member of St. Andrew parish.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Germaine Bauer of Manitowoc, and Joseph and Glenda Bauer of Idaho Falls, Idaho; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Russell (Mildred) Bonin and Mr. Stanley (Patricia) Hellen of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Russell (Ione) Steeber of Kellnersville; a sister, Mrs. Emma Buretta of Manitowoc; 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, a grandson, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday where a prayer service will be at 7p.m. by Rev. James J. Stamborski.
