82 yr. old Mrs. Bauer, who lived in the residence of Peter Schreihart, went to bed Fri. evening completely healthy. On Sat. morning the other residents got no response from her, broke the door down, and found her dead in her bed. Dr.
Luhmann was called and as best as could be determined, she was overcome by the coal gas in the stove.
Mrs. Maria Theresia Bauer, mother-in-law of Mr.Joseph L. Mueller of Manitowoc, was born Oct. 1808.
She came to Manitowoc Co. in the summer of 1847 and has lived here ever since. The burial took place Tues. morning.
