NICK BAUER

Nick Bauer, 82, of 2407 Washington St., Manitowoc, died early Monday at his home following a heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc, the Rev. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc.

He was born Aug. 4, 1874, at Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late Reinhardt and Dora Shimon Bauer. He married the former Flora Coutely July 18, 1899, and the couple operated the homestead farm at Rt. 4, Manitowoc, until moving in the city of Manitowoc 23 years ago. Here he was employed with
the city department of cemetery and parks until he retired 10 years ago. He was a member of the St. Mary Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. John Fessler and Mrs. Joseph Gates at Manitowoc; a son, Bernard on the homestead farm; four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. John Zekala, Jr., preceded him in death in 1953.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
