Mrs. Emma T. Bauer, 81, of St. Mary Home for the Aged, formerly of Riverhills Apartments, 1500 N. 3rd Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, July 24, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:15 a.m. Friday at Parkside Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Julian C. Resch with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Bauer was born May 7, 1904, at Whitelaw, daughter of the late Wencil and Frances Seibert Zipperer. She married Bernard H. Bauer on April 29, 1924, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. He preceded her in death Feb. 23, 1984. The couple lived and farmed in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids for many years. Mrs. Bauer was a member of River Road Homemakers Club for over 50 years, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno and the Christian Mothers and Altar Society of the church.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette and Reinard Holschbach of Route 1, Whitelaw and Eunice and Robert Gaedke of New Holstein; a brother and a sister-in-law, Alfons and Vlasta Zipperer of Route 1, Whitelaw; a sister, Mrs. William (Loretta) Kirby of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren; five great grandsons, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survived. She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a brother and a sister in infancy.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 o’clock to 9 o’clock Thursday afternoon. A prayer service will be held at 8 o’clock this Thursday evening led by Father Resch.
