Mrs. Victor (Elsie) Bauer, 72, of 5116 Michigan Ave., Manitowoc died Tuesday morning, October 19, at Holy Family Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Reverend Phillip Hoffmann will celebrate the Mass of Resurrection, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mrs. Bauer, nee Elsie Lax, was born Jan. 27, 1910, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Henry and Annie Heinrichs Lax. She was married to Victor Bauer Sept. 4, 1935, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Silver Lake. Mrs. Bauer was a member of St. Paul Parish Women and the Neighborhood Club.

Survivors include her husband, Victor, two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth and Jerry Hauch of Manitowoc and Janice and Gary Schmidt of Oostburg, Wis.; a brother, Clarence Lax of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Ann Bauer and Mrs. Evarist (Margaret) Bast of Manitowoc and Mrs. Ray (Mildred) Kaufmann of rural Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Jill, Jody, Renee, Mark and Jeff and a great grandson, Bradley.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. by St. Paul Parish Women, members of the parish and relatives and friends.
