He broke into Hollywood with an uncredited part in the film "It Started With a Kiss" (1959), however it would be the small screen which garnered Taeger his most success. A handsome and rugged man, he experienced roles in the TV programs "Bat Masterson" and "Sea Hunt," before being partnered with James Coburn for the series "Klondike." Taeger played a memorable part in a 1964 episode of the classic series "The Twilight Zone" titled "From Agnes- with Love." He retired from the entertainment industry during the 1970s and ran his own firewood company.
