Son of Thomas Luther Draper and Martha /Mary Virginia 'Jennie' Pate Graves. His father served in Civil War, Company A, 84th Tennessee Infantry and he was first married to Mary Jane Apple who died in 1877.

His mother was first married to Henry Michelberry Graves who died in Civil War, Andersonville POW camp, 1864. She married Thomas Luther Draper, July 12, 1877, Jackson County, Tennessee. Thomas Luther died in 1893, Robertson County, Tennessee. Widowed, she married Elbert Woodard and she died in 1924.

Thomas Jordan married Mattie Harris, February 26, 1914, Davidson County TN, with whom he had children Thomas Jordan Draper Jr., Frank Edgar and John Samuel.
There is also a daughter Dimple/Dymple Harris born 1900 who appears on the 1920 census. She is the daughter of Mattie Harris prior to marrying Thomas, and she married Frank H. Hughes.

Widowed in 1925, he married Mary Etta McMahan, December 1, 1926, Davidson, TN. They had a son William Marshall Draper in 1927.
Thomas was a ticket agent for Tennessee Central Railroad according to his death certificate which indicates residence was Old Hickory Blvd, Rural Madison. Wife Mary E. Draper informant.
1930 census gives his occupation as Baggage Master for railroad.
