Clarence E. Kiger, 89, of Waynesburg R.D. 3, formerly of Spraggs and Brock, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 1994, in Greene County Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 28, 1904, in Whiteley Township, a son of William and Ella Gooden Kiger.

Mr. Kiger lived his early life in Wayne Township. He had lived in Waynesburg for the past 24 years.

He was a member of Valley Chapel United Methodist Church of Brock, where he served on the board of trustees.

He served as Democratic committeeman for Perry Township.

Mr. Kiger was a well-known farmer and stock raiser.

His wife, Marie Knight Kiger, died September 21, 1984.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. David (Betty) Headley of Waynesburg R.D. 3, two grandchildren, Mrs. Joseph (Linda ) Headlee and Charles E. Maxon Jr.; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one sister, Mary Kiger Fuller of Waynesburg.

Deceased, in addition to his wife, are one daughter, Martha Maxon; three sisters, Cora Cowell, Anna Kiger and an infant sister; and four brothers, Lon Kiger, Edward Kiger, David Kiger and an infant brother.
