Robert L. Anhalt, age 70, of 3127 S. 15th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, Feb. 16, 2006, at his residence.

He was born April 25, 1935, in Manitowoc, son of the late Henry W. and Althea M. (Burkart) Anhalt. Bob was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1954. On Jan. 12, 1957, he married the former Bernice Blahnik at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Bob was employed with Medusa Cement Company for 24 years and then with Weyerhaeuser Company for 11 years.

Survivors include his wife: Bernice Anhalt, Manitowoc; four sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Patti Anhalt, Manitowoc; Jeffry and Carolyn Anhalt, Manitowoc; Paul and Sally Anhalt, Palm Bay, Fla.; Mark and Kandi Anhalt, Manitowoc; 12 grandchildren: Eric Whipple; Nathan and Bobby Anhalt; John and James Anhalt; Jennifer, Shawn, Brittany and Katy Anhalt; Mikaela, Zacharie and Emily Chynoweth, and one more expected grandchild in June; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry and Delores Anhalt, rural Two Rivers; Richard and Melanie Anhalt, rural Mishicot; David and Patty Anhalt, Manitowoc; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Marilyn and Wilbur Kumbalek, Oshkosh; Jeanne and Roger Ringmeier, rural Manitowoc; Patricia and Jim Topping, Florida; Pam and Tony Zehren, Georgia; and five sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law through marriage: Lorraine Cotter, Manitowoc; Arlene and Robert Mauer, Manitowoc; Ellie and Marvin Obry, Hortonville; Grace and Don Witte, Green Bay, and Elsie Blahnik, Menominee. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by an infant brother: Jerome; and an infant sister: Kathleen.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Deacon Al Boeldt. Visitation will continue Monday morning at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. Bob was an avid fan of fishing, playing cards, reading and Wisconsin sports. He was also a friend of Bill W. for 29 years. The family would like to thank Dr's. Lynn Baatz, Douglas Rapisarda, Mark Herring and the entire staff of Holy Family Cancer Care Center.
